Description
New Features Available in V4.2.9:
The KODAK MAC software driver allows a user to use the KODAK MAC driver for the Kodak PS50 and Kodak PS80 with their user supplied scanning application that supports TWAIN drivers. This version supports MAC OS V10.6 – 10.11 but there are differences with 10.9 (Maverick-Yosemite) as compared to the earlier versions. User must supply their own scanning application “such as ADOBE Photoshop or ADOBE Elements” as the KODAK Picture Saver Scanning Software is not supported on MAC systems.
The driver works with TWAINBridge, allowing the download of the scanner firmware to the scanner automatically when its plugged into the MAC and turned on. TWAINBridge is in OS V10.6 thru 10.8, it was removed in OS V10.9 “Maverick”, therefore, firmware does not get downloaded automatically and will be downloaded when the first Acquire Image Data is selected. Some applications do not work on 10.9 – 10.11, but will on earlier versions of the OS.
